Description

SPACE (Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions) is a therapy that helps parents help their child. Parenting an anxious child can be exhausting as we devote increasing time and resources to responding to our kid's fears. We may end up sacrificing time out of the house, hobbies, and sleep as we do our best to help our child feel better.

Despite our best efforts, some of our sacrifices end up unintentionally reinforcing our kid's fears. SPACE helps parents interrupt this cycle by learning new ways of supporting their child to gain independence and confidence in themselves.

During the course of treatment, parents work with a therapist to:

  • identify current responses to their child's fears and anxieties
  • reflect on what responses they'd like to change
  • develop a concrete, sequential plan for change
  • learn new skills to support their child's resilience and tolerance for facing fears

SPACE is a highly effective treatment that has the potential to transform your family life. Join us to learn how to support your anxious child so that you can see them thrive!

Logistics:

  • Groups include 6 group sessions and 2 private family consultations for $560.
