Cecilia DeRubira, LMFT (she/her) is a native Spanish-speaking Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist from Ecuador with many years of experience supporting young children, caregivers, and families. Her work is relationship-centered and trauma-informed, grounded in the belief that children’s development unfolds within the cultural, historical, and relational contexts of their families and communities.
Cecilia provides relationship-centered, trauma-informed therapy in both Spanish and English, offering dyadic play therapy for young children as well as working with parents to support those who are striving to feel more present in their relationships with their children. Cecilia also works with adults who are exploring the impact of early childhood experiences on their current relationships. She approaches therapy with steadiness, curiosity, and warmth, supporting families as they deepen connection and navigate challenges together.
Guided by the Diversity-Informed Tenets for Work with Infants, Children, and Families, Cecilia centers equity, reflection, and collaboration in her work. She values partnering with clients and families as experts on their own lives and is deeply attuned to how culture, identity, and intergenerational experiences shape relationships and healing. Her clients often experience Cecilia as calm, thoughtful, and deeply present, creating a space where everyone feels seen, respected, and supported.
Cecilia accepts private-pay families and Kaiser referrals. If you’re interested in learning more or would like to be added to the waitlist, we invite you to reach out; we’d love to connect.
