THERAPY FOR CHILDREN

Play therapy is a specialized approach to counseling that utilizes the natural language of children—play—to help them express their thoughts, feelings, and experiences in a safe and supportive environment. Our trained and compassionate therapists create a warm and inviting space where children can explore and process their emotions, build resilience, and develop healthy coping skills.

Through a variety of play-based activities, such as imaginative play, art, storytelling, and games, children can communicate and work through difficult feelings, experiences, or traumas at their own pace. Our therapists are trained to observe and understand the symbolic messages embedded in children's play, allowing them to gain insights into the child's inner world and tailor interventions accordingly. Play therapy is particularly effective for children who may struggle to verbalize their emotions or who have experienced trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, or other challenges.

Whether your child is struggling with behavioral issues, social skills, school-related stressors, or any other emotional difficulty, our play therapists are here to support their unique needs and promote healing and growth.

At The CECC we specialize in seeing children from birth to eight years old.
